Terri Soutor is a veteran in leading startups and scaling companies in the educational technology sector. She’s motivated by the big picture to lead in this sphere with a passion for supporting teaching and learning as vital to our schools, our communities, our economy and our democracy. 

Leadership plays a critical role in startups because 90% fail. Soutor joined FastBridge Learning as CEO and led the startup through a phenomenal period of growth from 2015-2019. The company was ranked as the No. 2 fastest-growing private company in the Twin Cities in 2018 by the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal, and a 2019 Top Workplace by the StarTribune.

Terri led the company through a successful exit and sale to Illuminate Education and remained on board as President through 2020 to lead a thriving integration and GTM strategy.

Terri was one of three founders of Brain Hive, LLC, which launched in June 2012 as a division of Lerner Universal Corporation. As President, Terri was responsible for business, product and marketing strategy. Brain Hive is an innovative provider of online K-12 classroom resources, offering a custom, flexible solution to support blended learning.
